final update with added feedback

Image
After reflecting on the feedback given by both Julian and Veronika, I changed the style of the leaflet (pictured below) and the way it was presented. In the video, you can see what the leaflet looks like and below you can see screen shots of what the leaflet would look like when you hold your phone over the leaflet. final from Danielle Englezou on Vimeo .

Update regarding feedback

Today we presented our work to Julian and Veronica, we got good feedback but also many points to reflect on, based on design and scaling of the features that are imported through Wikitude. Furthermore, reflecting on this feedback, I have designed a new leaflet, with less of a bold take with the purples and also using an icon to communicate that you can use your phone for the interactive leaflet. indesign update from Danielle Englezou on Vimeo .

Working Project

This video contains the final project in working form, it shows how you scan your phone with the Wikitude app over the leaflet page and then you can see the information that is shown interactively, such as video links. For the final submission, I am going to print the final piece onto card and make the leaflet more look presentable as if it were to the client. Prototype for app

Image
This is a prototype of what the app would look like, I decided to make it look very similar to the actual leaflet that is provided in the hotels because it makes it more real. below are screen shots from a prototype I have built in photoshop, designing the icon that would appear if you downloaded the app and the front page when you first click on to the app. The following pages are the indesign pages so that you can view them from your phone.

User experience X2

User experience: John is a business man who uses the Premier Inn hotels on regular basis as they are perfect for him when away travelling on business as there are over 750 across the UK. John a perfect example of why this interactive leaflet would help increase his experience whilst staying at one of the hotel. When travelling for business, John hardly has time to make note of all the information which is provided whilst checking in, which is why the interactive leaflet comes in to place so well, during his stay at the hotel, he can take a look at the leaflet at his own pace, find out what information he needs when and where he wants too along with having that enhanced experience bringing it to life. Amy is a 12-year-old girl staying at the Premier Inn with her family. Her family have arrived in a large group and are staying at the hotel in Shoreditch high street for a number of days. When they arrived the check in desk was quite hectic as it’s a busy Saturday of Eas...

Feedback with Veronika and Colour Palettes

Image
Today I met up with Veronika and showed her the indesign document of the final leaflet, reflecting on the feedback given during this, I have decided to change the colour theme. We discussed how the dark purple colour isn’t breathable it makes the leaflet very constrophobic and less space. From this I have decided to change the overall colour to white, after taking inspiration from other hotel websites.  I also began to explore with the colours, creating and collecting palettes from Adobe Color challenge what colours could go with others in order to make certain information stand out. I also looked into leaflets from the hotel and as you can see in the images below, colours such as orange, blues and yellow work very well when trying to create this.

Representation on colour

Image
When deciding the colours that would be used for the interactive leaflet, it was for sure that purple would be used as it is such a staple to the franchise and recognisable within the brand as a whole. I looked into the meanings of colours and the colour which I want to use in particular, the images above are very good representations of each colour and help me within my design stages of what to use as to what I want my audience to take from it.
